Waterton Lakes National Park - Alberta, Canada

Rating: ratingMe at Crypt Lake

When to go:

Peak Season: Summer

Where to stay:

Townsite Campground
Crandell Campground
Belly River Campground

What to Do:

My Two cents:

Waterton Lake is the Canadian side of the Wateron-Glacier International Peace Park forged between Canda and the US. This is a international conservation and preservation project and you can even take an International Peace Park hike led by park rangers from the US and Canada.

I went here with just one thing in mind, Crypt Lake. The hike to Crypt Lake starts with a ferry ride across Waterton Lake. Once you step off the boat the real adventure starts. The hike takes you crawling through a cave, traversing a ledge, and it ends up at the perfect glacial cirque, Crypt Lake.
