Spring when the flowers are in bloom
Prince Williams State Forest Park
Washington is really cool, and I'm not saying that as the future Vice President of the United States. I'm saying that because the monuments, museums, and all-around grandeur are at least impressive, if not inspiring. As far as I could tell there isn't a whole lot to do, but there is a lot to see. You can take a ride up to the top of the Washington Monument for free. You can walk around the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. Or maybe just sit and feed the pigeons or the ducks in the reflecting pool. I will admit that there are times when I am disheartened by our government and moreso I am disgusted by choices made by certain politicians. In DC I was closer to all of the bad then I've ever been, but I was also closer to all the good and I was somewhat invigorated with the pride and meaning behind being a citizen of the United States of America. I do wish that the city would give a little more unbiased history of the United States, but there are always things to work on, right?
