What to Do:

My Two cents:

Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park make one of the greatest scenic attractions in the Lower 48. The park is named correctly as the three Tetons are visible from just about any point in the park. A view of Grand Teton from Jenny Lake may be the most majestic viewpoint but there are many other great locations within the park boundaries.

For $10 you can get a boat permit which allows you to paddle in one of the many alpine lakes in the park or to float the Snake River. I floated the Snake River and most likely you'll encounter several rafts, and doreys, but it's a nice casual ride again with vistas of the three tetons.

This park is not extremely large, but there are hundreds of miles of well maintained hiking trails, probably the most popular and most scenic being the hike to Hidden Falls, and Lake Solitude which passes through Cascade Canyon. Even though the Jenny Lake circuit and surrounding area is busy with rock climbers, day hikers, and your typical tourists you can easily get away from it all by hiking a few miles into the park.
