Take a Picture of the Sunset from a Red Rock - Arizona

rating

What I was Supposed to Do:

All I had to do was take a picture of the sunset from a red rock. This one is a piece of cake. The sun sets one time a day and there are red rocks all over the place in Arizona.

What I Did:

I went to Lake Powell which is a 100 mile long lake created by towering walls of red rock. The perfect place to complete this challenge, right? Wrong - my trip was absolutely horrible, but I made a small effort to salvage the trip by watching the sunset while perched high above the lake. The sunset was not as breath-taking as I thought it would be. I know I can do better and I will do better the next time I dip back into Arizona.

My Two cents:

I like this one. I've been reading a little bit about photography and sunset shots are particularly tricky especially when I want to get my smiling mug in the picture as well. This is attempt number one and I am sure there will be better attempts to come in the near future.
