Yet another pleasant surprise. I assumed that this place would just be a big pile of sand and that's exactly what it was. What I didn't assume is that it would be fun, and that is exactly what it was.
I hiked up to the highest dune, and it was fairly challenging, but hiking in the sand with bare feet feels pretty nice and the trip back down was a ton of fun. It's a sort of weightless feeling taking the fastest route down the dunes. Your full weight is cushioned by the sand and you sort of float back down out of the sand box. I liked it a lot and you can even write messages in the snad for others to see. I chose to make a sign for our 2024 presidential campaign.
