It turns out that Robert Thomas, current student at Stanford University, also has plans for 2024. He plans on running for President of the United States of America in the year 2024. Not only is he working at the same goal, he announced his plans a year earlier than us during his 2007 High School Graduation Speech. I haven't punched in the numbers yet, but he might not be old enough to run for President by 2024? Let's see, assume he's 18 in 2007, it's now 2009, carry the 1, add 14, well, I would assume he would have thought this through, but it looks like he'll be 35 on the button. So, it's on. I don't even know what to do with this pie chart to the right anymore? I mean, is that really good for anything now? Was it good for anything before? Perhaps that's a better question. I need to recalibrate it anyway as I think I may have picked up some votes in an unlikely location: Canada.
There's no use sulking so I may as well embrace this new found, formidable opponent. As quickly as google could return the bad news, I was typing an e-mail to Robert Thomas congratulating him on his campaign and wishing him the best of luck. Then I scurried over to The Colbert Report's Website (e-mail him to support Marquardt/Oswald) where I tried to enlist Stephen Colbert's services. I know how he likes to give a bump every now and again and I was hoping he would bump Marquardt/Oswald before he bumps Robert Thomas. No luck yet, but I'm not finished trying.
Next, I figure it would be appropriate for the candidates to meet. I fully intend on meeting Mr. Thomas when I pass through the San Francisco Bay Area checking what should be the last of the BDHS challenges set for me earlier this year.
Click on our formidable opponent's banner to view his website - he's quite eloquent and seems to show reasonably sound judgement
