My Two cents:

More than 2.5 million people come to RMNP each year for the short and easy day hikes to the long and strenuous hikes to the top of the one and only fourteen thousand foot peak in the park, Longs Peak. Due to the high elevation of the access roads Longs Peak can be summitted in a day.

You can also drive the Trail Ridge Road to see where Stephen King found his inspiration for the Shining. There are hundreds of miles of trails in this park, and activities abound any time of year. If it's wildlife you crave you'll find elk, deer, bighorn sheep, and bear. Outfitters also provide horseback tours through the park to see the majest of the Rocky Mountains from another perspective.
