Number 1: Foam Henge - Natural Bridge, VA

Foam Henge

Hidden in the hills of Natural Bridge, VA is a cultural landmark unlike anything else you'll see in the world. Well, unlike just about anything you'll see in the world. There is a lesser known counterfeit of these ancient ruins called Stonehenge somewhere across the Atlantic.

Even though this is a historic site, it is also a tourist trap. So, before you head out to walk through this ancient foam structure be sure to check the hours of operation. If the gates of Foam Henge are open, head on out there and enjoy the site.

Number 2: Zorbing - Pigeon Forge, TN

Zorbing

I've done very few activities that induced "jump for joy" type reactions. For me, zorbing headlines this short list of attractions.

When you watch these giant spheres, slowly rolling down a hill, a persoin tends to think to him or herself "how can that possibly be fun?" The awesomeness of zorbing is not identifiable until you see a recent zorbanaut exiting the zorb with a huge smile and a jump of joy, just like Sam, Katie and myself pictured at left.

It is a bit pricey, but I know that I got more than my money's worth.

Number 3: Sinkers and Floaters - Sevierville, TN

Sinkers and Floaters

For the cost of a 6-pack of bottles you too can play sinkers and floaters (if you can find a hot tub, or body of water to play it in).

We were leisurely enjoying the smoky mountain vistas when it was decided that we should spice things up a little bit by seeing who's beer bottle would be the last one standing while we created a bit of a wave pool.

This is good, clean fun, and it is encouraged that you try this at home - please do not litter. I've seen way too much litter around this country and it is beginning to drive me a little nutty.

Number 4: Fountain of Youth - Lewes, DE

Fountain of Youth

Scared of dying? Well, DON'T!! The extremely rare and valuable antidote to death was uncovered on the shores of Lewes, Deleware.

I didn't drink, because I like living, but I laso like aging. If I could find some sort of potion that would keep me at my current age for 1-3 more years that would be the drink for me............but alas, I found the one that provides an eternity of life. Rats!

Number 5: Sea World - Orlando, FL

Sea World Manatee

Love these guys!! Not only because of their moniker, "cow of the see" or the future plans I have for these bulbous sea creatures, but because they're funny.

Manatees weren't the only tihng I loved about Sea World. The Shamu show was great, the dolphins were performing some wild and crazy tricks and all of the sea's wildlife proved to be quality entertainment.

This too is a bit pricey. At the time I thought I was making a reasonable investment as I thought my ticket would be good for Sea World in San Diego and San Antonio. Upon my arrival to the San Antonio branch, I was informed that this is not true. I left, dejected, but I still enjoyed my one visit in Orlando.
