Pinky up is a lifestyle
Earlier in my life, had you asked me if I thought I was fancy. I probably would have told you that I don't have a fancy bone in my body. It's funny how things change. I've gone from zero fancy bones to one ridiculously fancy finger which is stuck in the upright position due to a routine mugging in broad daylight on the streets of Bogota, Colombia.
I don't think those dirty little Colombians knew what kind of a monster they were creating when they jacked my laptop, passport, and money and gave my finger a nice big slice. I've never been a person to dwell on the past, and although my life has been relatively worry-free I set out to live just as fulfilling life after my surgery as I was before I set out for South America.
Since, I've started a new way of life. I now sleep in my car, my tent, and the occassional hotel room. But where I live is the USA. I can go anywhere my car can get me and while I'm following a few chosen destinations (National Parks and the Brown Deer High School Challenges), perhaps the most enjoyable events are those that are unplanned. The foamhenges, the Bush Bean Factories, Captain Kirk's Birthplace. I've enjoyed just about every random location I've wandered into, and I am eagerly awaiting what will be next, perhaps the Final Frontier?
