United States National Parks Service

The United States National Parks Service 391 Units of which 58 are National Parks. I've grumbled about paying to go to a National Park and to camp. I even went as far as paying what I thought was an appropriate rate at several National Parks Campgrounds on the East Coast. I just felt that $25/night for one person in a tent is a lot of money. I also feel that there are so many things that tax money goes towards that I wish it wouldn't. So, when the taxpayer is on the hook for something that I like, I wish I could enjoy it without having to pay for it. At the same time, parks are a good thing to spend my money on. More people need to get off of the couch and start exploring the outdoors. Maybe this website will convince a person or two to enjoy our countries natural wonders.

So far, I've made it to every National Park on the East Coast, except Dry Tortugas, Virgin Islands, and Isla Royale. I have a little more work to do in the West Coast, primarily the parks in the far south and the far north. Eventually I'm going to get to them, all I can do is keep working on them. As long as I continue to return with pictures like this you can bet I will continue to explore the our countries beautiful National Parks. Below, Adam and I enjoy the beauty of RMNP.
