Hurricane is always awesome
Conveniently, I spent a month renting a small, two-story guest house that is part of a historical estate in Hurricane, UT. It was convenient, because I was still trying to kick a sickness that had been kicking my butt since I returned from my trip back home. It was convenient because there is an over abundance of outdoor activities in the area. It was convenient because sleeping in a bed is better than I remembered it to be.
My sickness really got the better of me while I stayed here. There came a point when my fortress of solitude became my own personal quarantine just to avoid the spreading of my germs. Even while suffering from an unspeakable illness it was a rewarding stay at the fortress. The roommates were extremely nice. It gave me the opportunity to clean out my car. I did all the hikes in Zion NP that I wanted to. I spent a few nights sleeping at Lake Powell's numerous beaches and I completed a decent amount of work even though one of the symptoms of my sickness was the inability to think.
In the end I'll always look back fondly on my memories in the fortress of solitude.
