Visit the Corn Palace - Mitchell, SD

What I was Supposed to Do:

My mission was simply to stop at the Corn Palace.

What I Did Instead:

I one upped this challenge. Not only did I stop at the corn palace but I parked in the Mayor of Mitchell's parking spot. Apparently the mayor works out of the Corn Palace as his parking spot is right next to that monstrosity of corn.

My Two cents:

This probably would have gotten a nice little bump had I not already visited the illustrious corn palace. I enjoyed the stop, and I liked parking in the big cheese's parking spot, but other than that there's not a whole lot going on in Mitchell, SD. I'd stop by, snap a quick picture, and keep on trucking - there are many better sites to see in South Dakota.
