What to Do:

My Two cents:

Canyonlands one of the many southern Utah National Parks. I arrived here on a weekend and it was virtually impossible to get a campsite so it was another night of sleeping in my car. I started at the Needles and from here I hiked to the Confluence of the Colorado and Green Rivers. This hike was excellent. It's pretty grueling and I think it would be awfully hot in the middle of the desert, but it's worth the hike. I'm not sure what was best the various rock formations that you pass on the way to teh confluence or the confluence itself.

Needles is one entrance, just North of Moab is the Island in the Sky entrance. I was told at Needles that it wasn't anything better than what we were seeing, but I planned on spending at least a day here. It turns out that the campsites fill early here as well. Everything was full and I couldn't find a good place to park so I got in my car and headed West toward Capitol Reef National Park.
