Canada is Always Tootin' Their Horn - Canada

Rating: ratingCanadians are full of themselves

When to go:

Canada is open 12 months a year

My Two cents:

Everywhere we went it seemed like the Canadians were showing off. Whether it was pointing at a picture of what will soon be the World's Largest Bicycle Bridge, zipping us down Canada's Longest Zip Line, or guiding us past the First Ostentatious Feng Shui site, they were bragging about something. I don't know what's so great about a Feng Shui Site, especially an Ostentatious one. If I called my website Ostentatious (which it probably is) would it be a first too?

Just when I thought they were through showing off their fanciness (which I should appreciate) I would find myself standing on a ferry staring up at a sign that says "The Most Beautiful Shortcut." Or better yet one night walking back to the hotel, Maureen and I stumbled upon a church that was touting their "Cool Organ Music." At first I thought they were claiming to have "cool organs." My mind followed the natural progression, wondering what was wrong with my organs? Weren't they cool? I like my splean, my kidneys seem to work properly, my liver, although heavily used, still filters my fluids quite nicely, I don't know, they seem pretty cool to me. When I finally corrected my error, I started to think maybe I would have gone to church a little more had I been expecting cool organ music upon my arrival? You never know, stranger things have happened, I mean a Feng Shui Site has been dubbed ostentatious and now tourists from around the globe come to see it.

It should be noted that all of these peculiarities were found in British Columbia. Who knows what we would have found had he explored all of Canada. The World's Largest Syrup Bottle? A Mounty Riding a Bear? The World's Oldest Hockey Stick? I don't know, you'll need a Canadian to tell you about it........and I think they just might.
